Michael E.L. Melluish, OBE
Michael Melluish, Chairman of the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation from 2003–2011, died on February 8th aged 81. His contribution to cricket at Arundel was both inspiring and selfless.  He worked tirelessly behind the scenes, superbly supported by his wife, Anna, to strengthen the Board of Trustees and so in turn to improve the financial impact of the Foundation.  Thousands of young people have benefited, without knowing it, from Mike’s energy and commitment.

He loved Arundel dearly and visited the ground with Anna whenever he could during the summer.  His kindness towards people, as well as his great affection for the game, shone from a man of impressive intellect, wide-ranging interests and a mischievous sense of fun.  Of course he will be very much missed at Arundel and elsewhere but those who knew him will remember him with great joy and a broad smile on their faces.

A Service of Thanksgiving was held at noon on Friday 27th June 2014 at
St John's Wood Church, London, with a reception afterwards in The Long Room at Lord's Cricket Ground.
